Do I need Matmon Cloud?
No. Matmon runs completely on your own machine and stays fully functional offline. The cloud adds what a monitor on site cannot do for itself – a dead-man switch, remote access, SMS and calls – and you can connect it at any time.
What is a probe, and what is an agent?
A probe is a second Matmon at another site that runs sensors from there and reports to your primary. An agent is a small service on a single machine that watches it from the inside. Agents are never counted.
